Yes, you can certainly have MQ Clusters that are "heterogeneous", that is to say mixed platform types. The MQ Cluster can have a mix of all platform types (z/OS, Windows, Linux, etc.). Having said that, one would TYPICALLY choose the most reliable platform to house the MQ Cluster Full Repositories (and you'll want a minimum of 2). And if you're using MQ Clusters to distribute messages amongst multiple copies of a given queue, it would be likely that those queues that are copied (with their servicing applications) are of a similar architecture, but this certainly isn't an MQ requirement.
