Hey,
I have just downloaded version(9.2.0.11-IBM-MQC-Win64.zip) from IBM and did unzip then installed using typical installation method (which includes all necessary by default) .
To confirm you, MQ has been installed under C:/ and WebLogic installed under D:/
I see RA files under java/lib/jca, that is wmq.jmsra.rar and jmsra.ivt.ear files.
&
I have not copied any MQ RA files under the WebLogic installation directory tree.
in the win registry I see
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\MQSeries
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\WebSphere MQ which confirm they registered here. I am still not sure how WebLogic is removing this? what process is doing this? Is there a fix for this?

Subject: MQ client gets uninstalled after applying WebLogic patch (Windows)
Hello Rashmitha:
I understand that WebLogic uses the MQ Resource Adapter (RA).
I am not an expert on WebLogic and I am just doing a speculation on the behavior of the WebLogic installer.
.
Could you please clarify how you have "installed" the MQ RA?
.
a) Have you installed the complete MQ Client (which includes C-based and JMS-based files, including the MQ RA)? This type of installation is recorded in the Windows Registry and it is shown in the Windows Control Panel, in the uninstall features screen.
I will be very surprised in the WebLogic patch has uninstalled this type of MQ installation!!!
.
b) Have you downloaded and unpacked the MQ classes for JMS, which include files for standalone JMS applications as well as the MQ RA ?
This type of "installation" is NOT recorded in the Windows Registry.
.
c) Have you downloaded and stored only the MQ RA under the WebLogic installation directory tree?
This type of "installation" is NOT recorded in the Windows Registry.
Because the files under the WebLogic directory tree are controlled by WebLogic, perhaps the WebLogic patcher is deleting some folders for known locations of Resource Adapters, in order to indirectly force a re-copying of the MQ RA adapter by the administrator.
.
Thanks!

Subject: MQ client gets uninstalled after applying WebLogic patch (Windows)
Hey MQ Folks,
I'm running WebLogic on a Windows machine, and whenever I apply a WebLogic patch, it somehow affects the IBM MQ client installed on the same machine - in fact, it seems to uninstall the MQ client completely.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Why would WebLogic patching impact the MQ client running on the same machine?
Could this be related to environment variables, registry settings, or overlapping installation paths?
What's the recommended way to prevent WebLogic patching from interfering with the MQ client?
Obviously, this looks like something goes to Oracle side (WebLogic patching effects), as they both independent products, but I'd like to confirm if others have seen this behavior and how it was resolved permanently.
Any guidance or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
~Rashmitha.
