Hi,
I'm trying to use MPIO on AIX clients. Each client gets a virtual disk from an IO server attached to a DS4100 SAN. One of the steps required is to set the hcheck_interval attribute on a disk. Here's the error I get when I try:
-
chdev -l hdisk0 -a hcheck_interval=20 -P
Method error (/etc/methods/chgdisk):
0514-017 The following attributes are not valid for the
specified device:
hcheck_interval
Is there a certain level and/or disk type required to enable this attribute? I'm running 5.3 Gold, and my disk is:
-
lsdev -l hdisk0
hdisk0 Available Virtual SCSI Disk Drive
Thanks for any help,
-Kevin
