    Question to IBM,

would it be a big effort to add Telegraf as a alternative SNMP monitoring.  Thinking of do a RFE
Looking for easier way to monitor resources

    Hi Mats

This is an interesting topic for us too.

We have 2 summer interns working on different ISAM integration aspects. More particularly, one of them is working exclusively on integrating ISAM performance metrics of all sorts into Grafana Dashboard, such as:

-Appliances CPU/ram/storage/network metrics with SNMP Monitoring

-ISAM Liberty Runtime metrics (following recipe as published by Leo Farrell a year ago already: https://www.ibm.com/blogs/security-identity-access/monitoring-federation-advanced-access/)

-Expanding our coverage into other areas eventually (pdweb stats just to name a few)

We are indeed leveraging the telegraf agent (client) to collect and route all above mentioned metrics to InfluxDB for later displaying into Grafana.

So here I was curious about the approach that you suggested if it consisted for (hypothetically) IBM to deploy a telegraf "agent" on the ISAM Appliance, and then for us (users) to configure that agent to route metrics to InfluxDB? Or any other approach ?

    Hej Sylvian,

thanks for the reply and yes as you suggest ,we are looking for IBM to deploy the client and the user can configure from the GUI.

    Tack
    Mats
