I know this is the AIX forum, but wanted to pass along some info for AIX admins that also have Linux and PowerLinux in their shops. Many admins are used to having a disaster recovery tool like mksysb for AIX, but have found that missing with Linux and PowerLinux. Our product Storix System Backup Administrator will perform a "mksysb-like" backup you can recover to dissimilar hardware. It also has its own network capabilities so you do not need NIM.

We are hosting a live demo of our PowerLinux Bare-Metal Recovery product on July 30th at 11:00am Pacific.

Here is where you can register: PowerLinux Bare-Metal Recovery Live Demo

See the IBM Solutions Brief attached to this post. It covers PowerLinux, but is applicable to x86 Linux as well.
