We have 2 node HACMP cluster with resource Group active on both the nodes.

Server A : saprgpri (Active) & saprgsec (Passive)

Server B : saprgsec (Active) & saprgpri (Passive)

    Recently we have performed AIX TL Upgrade - AIX 6.1 TL5 SP3 >>> AIX 6.1 TL7 SP7

multibos was taken when HA was active and TL upgrade happened on the multibos image.

Once the Downtime started, the cluster nodes were started one after the other and it all came UP successfully.

However when we tried to failover test , the failover has failed and upon investigation we found the /etc/filesystems of each Node has

only the entries for "ACTIVE" resource group filesystems and the "PASSIVE" node related entries are missing.

Further investigation shows it was a multibos bug in AIX 6.1 TL5 and the multibos -V entry in /etc/inittab tries to varyon the passive RG and if it found the VG is locked it removes the entry from /etc/filesystems !!

    Solution:

I am trying to perform "importvg -L" on both the nodes to get the missing FS/LV info updated on /etc/filesystems...

Before that would like to check - has anyone in this forum has faced similar issues and any other better suggestion to fix this issue?
