Missing architectural information about LSF

  • 1.  Missing architectural information about LSF

    Posted 24 days ago

    Dear all,

I am sorely missing architectural information about LSF in the official LSF documentation on https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/spectrum-lsf/10.1.0. Just as a random example: I was recently looking for what "NIOS" is, but didn't find any helpful information in the official documentation. However there are still some documentations of LSF 9.x around, which do contain such information: https://www.bsc.es/support/LSF/old-9.1.1/lsf_programmer/index.htm?base_programmer_lsf.html~main, and https://www.bsc.es/support/LSF/old-9.1.1/lsf_programmer/index.htm?batch_programmer_lsf.html~main. Even though these documentations are targeted towards programmers and software developers, they contain information which would also very helpful for cluster administrators, when trying to understand LSF issues.

Would it be possible to include this or similar documentation, updated to LSF 10.x, somewhere in https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/spectrum-lsf/10.1.0?

    Cheers, Frank
