    1. Can I mirror this VG with SAN drive of equal capacity
    2. If yes so is it necessary to have 2 drives from san of 100GB each or should I bring single drive of 200GB or more from San and mirror it with local disks.

Please note that AIX version is 5.3 and this is not rootvg. this VG is data vg. so do recommend is it safe ? As this is TSM server . Also I dont know whether phyisical characteristics of drives to be mirrored should be same or they just mirror it with equal or greater size( SAN disk)

2 - Not necessary. You can just add lets say a single 200GB drive and make copies of the lvs on a way that the copies reside on the san disk.

Be careful on the way that you place the copies. Try to allocate copies in a way that if a single hdisk fails the vg is not compromised.
lspv -l <hdisk_name> will be helpful

    Hope this help.
