Minimum requirements for Verify Directory in containers

    Hi there,

    I have tried to find the minimum requirements for deploying Verify Directory in Kubernetes in the documentation (installation overview and containers ) and compatibility report, but I could only find information related to software deployment. What are the minimum requirements for Verify Directory Server, Proxy, Web Admin Tool, Virtual Directory, Seed, Federated Directory, ISVDI, database?

    Thank you for your reply.

    However I'm looking for Verify Directory (ISDS) minimum requirements to deploy in Kubernetes, Openshift for example. As I pointed, these requirements are not available on  the clarity report of Verify Directory, aka ISDS.

    I apologize if my question points to Verify Access.

    There is nothing related to Verify Access. The scope is installing ISDS (Verify Directory) in containers.  What are the minimum specification such as memory, storage, etc to deploy ISDS in containers?

    Anyway you can check ISDS (Verify Directory) clarity report / documentation and it's not described as described if you want deploy ISDS as software.

    Hi Rudy,

    I've asked our sizing experts. Here's the answer:

    The resource requirements for a containerized  deployment would be the same as for software since it's the same underlying code just packaged differently.

    The CPU requirements are going to be directly related to the transaction rates that you are expecting to service, while the memory requirements will be driven by how much memory you intend to dedicate to caching.
    Just like with the software deployments, you need to size based on expected workloads, and then test and measure actual usage with the customer's specific workloads

    That being said, the disk requirements might be 'lighter' in a container setup and also depend on your configuration.  I'm thinking about layered filesystems and such.

    There is "a minimum hardware requirement" for Verify Directory described in IVIG documentation: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/sig-and-i/11.x?topic=po-hardware-software-requirements
    What I'm looking for are the official minimum requirements when deploying in Kubernetes , similar to how they are described for AIX, Linux, and Windows in Compatibility report (under the Hardware tab).

    Perhaps another line could be added to the Compatibility report's Hardware tab with the same minimum hardware specifications for Kubernetes.
