There is an requirement to migrate services and packages written in webMethods 6.5 to 7.1.2.Can anyone suggest what are the migration guidelines and checklist to be used before migration

I would suggest as first step, migrate to 7.1.3 directly and not 7.1.2, but also if possible do it to 8.0.

The guidelines are those written in the upgrade guide, you need to follow those steps.

Thanks for your reply.Could you please tell what is the reason for not migrating to 6.5 to 7.1.2, and what are the advantages in migrating to 6.5 to 7.1.3.

And i have another question.

The requirement in our company is there are services and packages avaialble in 4.5 and some packages in 6.5 ,the objective is to migrate both packages to 7.1.2 versions.

The reason for migrating directly to 7.1.3 is clear, SAG support policy will force you to do so in a short timeframe.

The same happened when 7.1.2 was out, 7.1.1 ran out of maintenance.

If you are starting the migration process now, do it to a SP wich is now “obsolete” is an error.

Just my humble point of view.
