Is there another way to update the datasource in a quick report besides entering the properties and selecting from the Update button?  Can this be accomplised via a cell reference in Excel?  How are others migrating Quick Reports from one named TM1 Server to another?  Thanks!

    Hi, have your tried this?

    Utilities
The Update connection utility updates the connections for Exploration Views or Quick Reports in an open
    workbook.
    Procedure
    1. Open the file containing the reports that you want to update.
    2. On the IBM Planning Analytics tab, click Options .
The Options dialog box is displayed.
    3. In the navigation pane, click IBM.
    4. Scroll to the Utilities section and click Update connection utility.
    Chapter 5. Settings 41
    5. Select the connection that you want to upgrade from in Old connection.
Note: The Update connection utility does not differentiate between connection names where the only
variance is case sensitivity. If you have multiple connection names with varying case sensitivity, you
can use the bulk update tool to update each connection name separately. For more information, see
"Bulk update the datasource or TM1 instance for Exploration Views" on page 110.
    6. Select the new connection and click OK.
    7. Choose whether you want to refresh the data in the report. If you select Yes, then determine whether
you want to refresh just the data, or the data and report formatting.
    8. After you have made your selection, you are prompted to log onto the server on the new connection.
    9. Refresh your workbook to complete the update.

This works great for the Connection URL/Host but what about the changes in the TM1 Server Name?  Tried the Bulk Update Tool but seems to only apply to Explorations.

    Hi Joe,

You can also modify the named ranges which support each quick report. Opening the Named Range Manager will show a set of 4 named ranges for each Quick Report.

The 'tm1\\_0_H' host named range is value based and can be updated manually or through automation to point to the appropriate host, server or cube.
