Migrate TN User Certificates from 9.5 to 9.12

  • 1.  Migrate TN User Certificates from 9.5 to 9.12

    Posted Fri August 18, 2017 11:15 AM

    Hi All,

Is there any way to migrate the TN profiles including the partner certs from 9.5 to 9.12. I tried using the MWS/TN export/import ,
the certificate data were not migrated. Same with the deployer build export/import. Is there any way to migrate them.
    Please suggest.

    Regards
    Abir Banerjee

    Hi Abir,

as this is security relevant information, these asset types can neither be deployed nor export/imported.
This applies at least to the certificates.

I prefer to create the users and import the certificates manually on the new environment and only deploy the logic parts (rules, doc types etc.)

See Deployer Users Guide and TN Guides for further informations.

    Regards,
    Holger

The Certificates should get migrated with the profile if you use the database migration scripts for TN.
For enterprise profile the certificate now need to be setup using the keystore aliases
but when you migrate using the database migration script it migrates it successfully. However when you need to update your enterrprise certs you will need to configure you keystore.(I had tried with 9.8) things may have changes somewhat with higher versions
