  • 1.  microcode update corrupted

    Hello, I have installed the microcode RS-740-K-RE22287 and I wanted to update it to RS-740-R-RE25164. When I finished installing it, it sent me SRC B6005121 and it tells me that the microcode is corrupted. After several attempts, I opted to restore option 21. Can anyone tell me what could have happened? What can I do when I try to install again? Regards.

    Great work adhering to IBM's recommended best practices. I've outlined them below for your future reference:

    Best Practices

    When installing a new Hardware Technology Refresh, it is recommended that customers either:

    ·     Install the Technology Refresh PTF Group plus the most recent Cumulative PTF package, or

    ·     Install the Technology Refresh Resave, plus the Technology Refresh PTF Group, plus the most recent Cumulative PTF package.

    In all situations, it is a best practice to keep the system up to date with the latest PTF groups, Cumulative PTF package, and HIPER PTFs.
