  • 1.  metric for factor scores

    Hello,

    A quick question... in other programs I am used to seeing factor and PC scores come out with mean = 0 and SD = sqrt(eigenvalue), but seems I can only get them with mean =0 and SD = 1.0. Is there a way to control this?

    Hi. I think it depends on the extraction method you choose. If I remember correctly, in Principal Axis Factoring, for example, the Regression scores have mean 0 and SD=sqrt(eigenvalue).

    Thank you Rick, but that does not work.

    If I use extraction = PAF or PA2 it iterated and does not converge and i end up with no PCs at all.
