  • 1.  Message CKF0002. What is a library type of RCPLIB?

    Posted 23 hours ago

    Hello,

Our CKFREEZE logs contain multiple CKF0002 messages. For example, "CKF0002 04 LOCATE return code  8 on RCPLIB data set SYS1.COBOL.SIGYCOMP".

The messages don't cause a problem, but we would like to know what is an RCPLIB type of data set.

    Thank you, Bill

    Hello Bill,

RCPLIB refers to RACF Controlled Program List, and CKFCOLL tries to locate datasets that are referenced as members in profiles in the RACF PROGRAM class.

You can use zSecure to find where these are defined, e.g.:

RA.R -> Class name PROGRAM -> also select "Profile fields" and when the resource selection panel is shown enter -> Member key  . . . . SYS1.COBOL.SIGYCOMP

to find which profile, but I am guessing these are probably all referenced as members under the ** profile.

You could clean these definitions up, or just choose to ignore the warning messages.

    Regards, Mike
