    Use the Design Studio, Introduction & Design Studio Tutorial along with the tutorial examples that ship with the product. You may be able to download the 8.1 documents from IBM's web site. They'll work fine for 7.5.

    Obviously, attending classes are highly recommended. Remote, online training is also available I believe.

    Doing the tutorial with give a solid understanding of the product and doing it before training, will allow you to use the training to it’s full potential.

    Go to the IBM website and search for courses WE210 or VE210. These are the Fundamental courses for WTX (formerly Ascential DataStage TX, formerly Mercator). The VE210 class is instructor led, online, WE210 is classroom.
