Hi,

We had recently installed a webMethods server in our environment. This is a fresh install. The problem is the memory shoots up to 99% and comes down back to something around 65% and this is happening again and again. Is this the normal behaviour or is this something that we seriously need to look at?

There are no custom services on this yet. The services that I can see running in the service usage page are:
pub.event.stats:logToFile and wm.monitor.admin:imageCleanup.

Other details: IS version 8.2, OS-Unix

The above services should not shoot up the memory to 99%.
how much memory has been allocated to IS and how much total memory the box has ? Try to increase the memory of IS and observe.

If the memory is constantly stuck at 99% usage then its a issue otherwise it’s normal behavior spikes up and down upon refreshes.

Also make sure you have allocated enough memory in the setenv.sh file both JVM MIN/MAX memory heap sizes to handle your server loads/performance once you start migrating the code/testing:

Increase the memory in C:\webMethods7\IntegrationServer\bin\server.bat & set JAVA_MIN_MEMset JAVA_MAX_MEM.
