I already found information from Nigel G. stating that the nmem tool within the nstress package was not really written to exercise memory, and from my testing, it does not accomplish that task. Rmss is a little closer to what we want, but I was really looking for a command version of what is already in the diag service aid menu for memory exerciser. I'm just curious if I can have the functionality of that memory exerciser tool from the command line.

Do you have a link to that documentation about nmem? I've been playing with it a bit and am curious about the reference mentioned from Nigel.

But I haven't had much response regarding memory exercisers from IBM. The best tool thus far seems to be the service aid I mentioned above.
