    Posted Wed May 12, 2010 01:00 PM

    Hi All,

Can you please let me know the steps do we need to follow for executing the MDP process and also the script which we need to execute.

Below are the details which had been set,

In MWS page Business Days To Retain, Data Maintenance Interval and Days To Retain Processes the values are set.

Do we need to set any values in operation_parameter table and also let me the process and were and all it needs to be configured formassive data purge.

The below tables are not seen in the operation_parameter table so do we need to configure any particular component fron DB configurator.

     BAM_FACT_ DTHNDLR_V1
     BAM_FACT_ FCT4VNT_V1
     BAM_PT_ PROCESS_INST
     BAM_PT_STEP_ INST
     BAM_PT_STEP_ STAGE

    so i am totally confused.

I have seen the optimize guide but could not able to follow can you please let me know the steps so that it will be really helpful to me.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Thankyou.

    Hi,

if your version is 7.1.2 , you have to patch your MDP with latest fix. After that, bring down optimize and run the procedure massive_data_purge. One important thing to remember is that it can take hours also to complete, So you need to wait until it completes. you can monitor the progress from operation log table.
