Marginal Homogeneity test algorithm documentation

    In SPSS Statistics Algorithms PDF document, I am interested in Nonparametric Tests Algorithms > Related Samples Tests > Marginal Homogeneity. The formulae there mention w_u and w_v, the terms which are nowhere explained. So the algorithm of the test remains mystic.

    Will somebody come to explain the w's? I need help. Thank you.

    I've just seemingly figured out what that w's mean. It is the ordinal number of the row or the column of the cross-table. Am I right?
