    Hi

I completed a binomial logistic regression. What is a marginal table and does SPSS produce a marginal table?

    Thanks

Marginal tables are commonly associated with contingency tables where they display the distribution of one variable while holding the other constant. SPSS does not directly generate a marginal table in the binomial logistic regression output but we can create them using custom syntax. For the interpretation and evaluation of binomial logistic model, SPSS provides various tables in the output that includes Model Summary which provides information about the model fit including -2Log likelihood, the Cox and Snell  R Square and Pseudo R Square, Omnibus Test of Model Coefficient table presents overall tests of model significance such as likelihood ratio test (Chi Square ) and the Wald test for the model as a whole, Model Coefficients table displays the estimated coefficients, standard errors, Wald statistics and significance level for each predictor variable in the model, Classification table shows the overall accuracy of the model in correctly predicting the dependent variable's categories based on the specified predictors, Variables in the Equation table lists the variables included in the model and their status (entering or removing variable), Hosmer and Lemeshow test assesses the goodness of fit of the model by comparing the observed and predicted frequencies in groups of cases.
