When executing the command 'lsattr -El hdiskX -a lunid' on AIX 7.1 and 7.2 we get a LUN number back in hexadecimal format that is padded with zero to the right until the number is 14 characters long. This padding makes it impossible to interpret the LUN number correctly in some cases. As an example, when the returned LUN number is 0x10000000000000, the LUN id can be 0x1, 0x10 or 0x100. We see the problem on various versions of AIX 7.1 and 7.2like AIX 7100-04-03-1642, AIX 7100-05-01-1731, AIX 7200-00-01-1543.

Did anyone see that before ? Is there a fix for this ?

    Best regards,

    Marc.
