    Enabled hdisk56 fscsi3
    Enabled hdisk56 fscsi3
    $ lsdev -Cc disk |grep hdisk56
    hdisk56 Available 00-01-02 HP HSV450 Enterprise Virtual Array

    fcs1 Available 00-01 4Gb FC PCI Express Adapter (df1000fe)
    fscsi1 Available 00-01-02 FC SCSI I/O Controller Protocol Device

    Card is showing as 4Gb FC PCI Express Adapter (df1000fe)

    any advise what is the reason or i am missing something ? why 4 paths and not two ?

    Thanks in advance.

    well i tried to disable/enable , but was unable to enable.

    Disabled hdisk56 fscsi1
    Disabled hdisk56 fscsi1
    Enabled hdisk56 fscsi3
    Enabled hdisk56 fscsi3

    finally i run reducevg and remove the disk.

    when i run cfgmgr after that i was not able to add the device back it was not showing any device.

    there are few challenges i am facing now . the missing device was from the 3par storage but i do not have the mapping between lunid and the hdisk# ? since storage team provide the lunid but hdisk# device is not found.

    how to identify if the lunid is attached to the server ?

    you need to coordinate with your storage team how you will see the LUNID. Or if you are the Admin fo rStorage, you may see this in Storage Director.
