I'm a "seasoned" ACP, TPF, z/TPF systems software engineer. I'm looking for training material comparable to the old TPF Blue Book that explained TPF basic core architecture like keypoints, globals, pools, fctb, ECB, etc. The  old  Blue Book manual was great. What do  you suggest I use in training that might be comparable?

Hi Harold ... I'm honestly not sure what the TPF Blue Book was - I don't think I ever saw that.  Our product documentation is currently hosted on IBM Documentation. For someone just beginning with z/TPF, one place to start is Concepts & Structures - that provides the high-level architecture and basic information about some of the key elements that you mentioned. That said, we've added a number of new capabilities over the years, and Concepts & Structures is not really up to date regarding those new capabilities. The underlying basics should be there though .. so it's a starting point.  I will check around to see if anyone else in the lab remembers the TPF Blue Book and has any thoughts on what else might be helpful.

Harold .. just an additional update.  We actually found a copy of what I believe is the "TPF Blue Book" that you mentioned - the title was ACP/Transaction Processing Facility Concepts and Architecture. That book was actually the precursor to the Concepts and Structures content that is in IBM Documentation today, just a confirmation that it contains the same basic content that you were asking about. We also have a set of z/TPF Internship education videos on the z/TPF channel in MediaCenter that you might find helpful, particularly for some of the more current capabilities that aren't fully covered in Concepts and Structures.
