Login problem - Websphere Admin console

Hi,

We have websphere application server 6.1 in our environment.While trying to login to Websphere Admin Console i got an error like 'Login Failed.Check the user id and password and try again.
In the log it throws an error

BBOO0222I: SECJ0305I: The role-based authorization check failed for 992
admin-authz operation
StatusCache:placeReport:com.ibm.ws.management.status.StatusReport.
The user UNAUTHENTICATED (unique ID: UNAUTHENTICATED) was not granted
any of the following required roles: operator, administrator.


Please suggest on where we can change the userid and password.

What is your current realm definition ?
You can check that in Security-> Secure administration, applications, and infrastructure .

Login Problem

1) Switch off the security using following command :

WAS_HOME//AppServer//bin>wsadmin -CONNTYPE none

It will display wsadmin prompt

wsadmin>securityoff

Security will be disabled.

2) Restart Dmgr

3) Login to admin console by giving only username

4) Go to Users and Groups Tab -> Administrative User Roles

5) Add the user and give the role.

6) Save the Changes

7) Enable security and save changes.

8) Restart Dmgr

9) Try logging in now.
