We have Samsung Galaxy S9 phones that will be used with study participants, but we need a way to lock down all apps except the survey app. We were using another app to do this, but found out that it interferes with our survey app.

I found the app blacklist option in the group policy area, but we need the actual app IDs. I can't find the app IDs for system apps anywhere.

Specifically, we want to lock down the Messages and Phone system apps.

    Thank you,

Hi Tasha - one feature that may help is kiosk mode - you could lock the device to just that app, but depending on what other services it needs access to, that may not work as intended.

To get the apps IDs for any app on the device, including embedded apps, there is a program called APK extractor that you can install that will list them all for you.  Just download the app from the Play store and run it on one of the devices you intend to manage.
