We have a large amount of fields in the CSDATA segment.   How do we search for a list of users that have a particular value in a CSDATA segment field?

Let's say we have a field the contained an Accounting Unit called $AU.   And I wanted to search for all the userids that had 05643 in the $AU field.    What options in visual allow me to perform that search?

CSDATA were not around when Visual Client was originally designed, the Find dialog supports a selection of fields from the BASE segment.  Displaying all segments or finding values from a segment is not possible.  zSecure Admin is the interface that offers all these goodies.  You could compile a list of Find extensions that you need and open an RFE.

Hi Linnea,
With IBM Security zSecure Visual application you can search all user profiles with CSDATA segment in this way:

1.  Press on Find icon from toolbar
2. Click on Advanced button 
3.  Go to the Segment field and select CSDATA segment.
4. Press on OK button in the Find dialog

After finishing of all four steps, you get a complete list with all user profiles that have CSDATA segment.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to find all user profiles with particular value in a CSDATA Segment field. So, you can find only user profiles that have the CSDATA segment.

Thanks for the response.   This may work in some instances for the presence of a segment, but when it comes to CSDATA they really want to look for a specific value in the a field within CSDATA.    I will probably open an RFE.

I did notice that if you do a large find on a segment, then you do a 2nd search that the 2nd search gets hung up on Receiving Data.  Eventually Windows will display a message the program is not responding.  You get the option to close the program or Wait for it to respond.
