    Hello,

    if you look into the masthead file there is an email that is related to the license of the ILMT server running.

    Our collegue will be going into retirement and we would like to associate another email ...

    Where do I change that, on the installation, in BigFix, on IBM Passport Advantage?

    Hello,

    masthead file cannot be modified after creation.
    It's created only once for the whole BigFix infrastructure.


    Nevertheless, that email field is not used for any practical purposes, thus, I'm not sure what would be the reason to change that...

    just updated the IBM case with this same comment:

    so please confirm if I understood this correctly:

    Although the email was used initially to generate a license authorization file and is fixed in the masthead, and even though this email is used in AirGap procedures as in

    BESAirgapTool.exe -serial <serial_number> -email <mail_address> -createSiteList <site_list_file_name>,

    there will be no confirmation email or result of any procedure sent as an email to that adress.

    Also the email is not related to any BigFix/ILMT operations like download of updates from IBM/HCL/ILMT web sources.

    Good morning,

    Your assumption is correct,
    no confirmation email sent to that address.

    Furthermore, in the latest IBM License Metric Tool installers it is not necessary to provide an email address at all to retrieve a license file.
    An email is hardcoded to one common value: ilmt_ops_user@ibm.com
