    Posted Thu November 03, 2022 01:17 PM
    Hello everybody

I will soon activate and use PA Cloud for one of my customers.

This customer is care a lot about security and want to open and autorize only needed Port and Flux.

I have to give him a full list of port, flux and sites

I think about these items :
      - PAFE communication with workspace ,  https protocole (https : / /<<customer>>.planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com) : port 443 ?
      - use of tm1web, also https protocol, https : / /<<customer>>.planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com/tm1web : port 443 ?
     - Sftp file Transfer to and from site <<customer>>.planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com : port 21
     - Remote desktop connection to site  <<customer>>rich.planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com : port 443 ?
     - Secure Gateway tunnel between Local and Cloud : Port 9003 ?? port 900 and 443 ???
    - Other flux I forgot ?

Can you give me a full list of port and destination/provenance ?

    Best regards,
    Philippe

    HI Philippe,

Have a look at the Planning Analytics Port Numbers if you have not done so already.

SFTP is likely Port 22 and RDP is probably 3389

    Hi George,

Thanks for your answer but .......

I care about flux between "Cloud" and "Local"  and the IBM doc is about "local" and 'local".

I find some information in the "welcome kit" but don't all understand.

    Bests regards,
    Philippe

    Hi Philippe,

The main difference is cloud mostly uses port 443 (HTTPS) for interaction e.g.
    PAW - https://<tenant>.planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com/
    TM1 WEB - https://<tenant>.planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com/tm1web/
    TM1 Applications - https://<tenant>.planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com/pmpsvc/
    REST API - https://<tenant>.planning-analytics.ibmcloud.com/tm1/api/<database>/api/v1/<querystring>

    Cannot comment on Secure Gateway.

Hope that is a bit clearer.

    Regards,
    George

    Thanks George.

    It is a bit clearer.

I am going to look for informations about Secure Gateway with the Ibm Support

    Regards,
    Philippe

As for FTPS vs. SFTP, here is information from IBM.

Since FTPS is the default protocol for connections, implementing SFTP requires a change in the configuration. No downtime is required for this switch, however, the file share user that is used to access the S: shared drive will be replaced. You will be unable to access the S drive until the conversion is fully completed. When the processes is completed, you can download the updated Welcome Kit with the information required to connect. The information required for the change:

    • ·         the link to the environment in question
    • ·        approval from the account administrator
    • ·        the time when the change should be made (any weekday)

You will also likely need to add the following firewall egress rules:

    • login.ibm.com:443
    • pa.cdnedge.bluemix.net:443
    • consent.truste.com:443
