    the problem am facing now s d sortX12 subsystem of StampAndSort s giving an error log in d reject folder of message manager.I hav attached d error log along...

    My initial take on the reject file is that there are substantial issues with your x12 file. Create a validation map and run your file against the map. Review the trace (.mtr) file for the typical words like "invalid" or "unknown data".

    Check segment counts per ST-SE, loop counts per ISA-IEA and GS-GE.

    Make sure you've defined your TP relationship to accept the delimiters and terminators used in the file.

    Technically you shouldn't use a 3 byte termiantor so if your's is mre than one byte try changing it to one for your msg_mgr test.

    Change your qualifiers to upper case and see what happens.

    I don't think that matters. The only time I've noticed that message/trading manager uses the defined record delimitor/terminators set up for a trading partners, is when building output files. I believe that as long as the input files's info is in the standard, it does not have to match what's set up under : address book/external trading partners/company/ISA options/separators.

However, I've found that when you are trying to debug an issue like this you're better off eliminating any potential issue and selecting the delimiter doesn't hurt. Also, you need to make sure the delimiter combination is defined in the type tree. If it isn't it probably won't be a selectable option. If it is an odd delimiter combination (and I've seen them) you can update the type tree and it redeploy msg_mgr and add it to Partner Manager.

    Yeah, like jvanboga mentions, make the "zz" qualifier upper case, "ZZ".

    "zz" is not in the restriction list. That will cause an error.

    Don't recall what version you are running but depending where you installed TX, from it's route folder, the mmc (compiled) files are typically deployed to the following path 'tx_path\cmgr\mmgr\*.mmc' and the default folder for the msl (system) files is 'tx_path\Systems\*.msl'. You edi/x12 files (default settings) would be dropped in path 'tx_path\cmgr\mmgr\mail\' with a file naming convention of '*mi.edi'.

    To get an idea of what processes are running and where files are written to when the file is dropped use the 'event server monitor'. Open the monitor pointing at the machine and port the services in question are running on. Then drop your file in the mail folder. Watch the monitor. When it is finished processing your file take a snapshot. You can then open the 'SnapShot Viewer' to examine the data flow.

    If you aren't familiar with snapshot viewer, once you have the snapshot file open, right click on the last msg_mgr process that ran. It will summarize what happened in the map.

    If you didn't use the proper file naming standard, chances are that your file was picked up and archived but not much more.

    <SourceReport card="1" adapter="File" bytes="0" adapterreturn="-1">
    <Message>Source not available</Message>

    For the shot term you could move the file to the mail folder or change your file event settings and redeploy msg_mgr. Using 'retry' and/or 'mapdelay' to resolve this problem.
