We are looking for any whitepapers on MQ 9.1+ in regards to recommended settings for linear logging. We have reviewed KC documentation on scheduling attributes but what would be helpful would be examples of common use cases or recommended settings. Also are there any examples of using linear logging and recovery in the chance of a queue manager crashing?

For Linear logging... take a look at this

    document

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-mq-linear-and-circular-logging

And for settings take a look at the log

    stanza:

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/9.1?topic=information-log-stanza-qmini-file

Setting IMGSCHED, IMGINTVL and IMGLOGLN automatically records media

images, but doesn't manage log extents. To enable automatic management

of log extents set LogManagement=Automatic in qm.ini. Automatic log

management means the queue manager will automatically reuse log extents

that are not needed for restart recovery or media recovery. Automatic

log management prevents the log from growing indefinitely as long as media images are being taken regularly.
