I thought back in the day we could increase the number of light append buffers. Anyone recall that option? I get 4 buffers know matter how any threads are running or fragments involved in source or target.

Using the ploader (external tables) for bulk loads, etc. During an express load onstat -g lap shows the light appends and the buffer count. Have a very large reorg coming up and just turning knobs for tuning if possible on smaller tests. Do you know what factors determine the light append buffer count and size? I may be wrong about being able to change these settings - just can't remember back from the XPS days.
