Jon,
Thanks for this advice. But since I don't know which older version I have, I'd not be certain which interim fix to use. Perhaps more importantly, I am pretty certain the version I am using is VERY old, so upgrading to the latest model seems the best option for me.

Kim,
I didn't want to upgrade to 29.0.2 because I had some urgent work and didn't want to spend time on tweaking custom tables, but I can confirm that the patch David suggested got me back up and running. It's not a quick double click, but it got the job done until I have more time to spend on the bigger upgrade.
Good luck!

David,
I have the same problem apparently that Jon McHenry posted about getting a licensing issue message that does not allow me to log on to SPSS. I assume therefore that I should be able to follow your advice to him, go to my myibm site, log on, and then download and install version 29.0.2.0. But it does not work for me for two reasons. First, when I am on the myibm site and looking at the icons for my SPSS Subscription, there is indeed a link to Download. But it does not identify which version I will get when I click it. (Note that that also means I cannot even tell from the myibm site which version I now have.) Second, I went ahead and clicked that link and the one for the version of the program for a Mac, and a file flew into my Downloads folder. But when I try to open that file, named SPSSStatistics.pkg.download, my computer tells me that it "doesn't appear to be a valid download file" and will not execute it. So I am bewildered by this turn and don't know how to proceed to get the latest version of the program. Kim Hill

Hi @Jon McHenry
Are you using IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0.1.1 with an Authorized user (or Concurrent user) license string?
OR
Are you using Statistics Subscription and the current release you have installed is 28.0.1.1?
In early December 2023 there were several changes made to the IBM license servers. These changes were discussed in a Blog post in this Community, as well as a Flash Alert to all users. Interim Fixes exist for IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0.1.1 and 29.0.1.1. IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0.2.0 resolves the issue for the 29.0.x.x release.
- If you are on Statistics 29.0.x.x, please update to 29.0.2.0
- If you are using Statistics Subscription (28.0.1.1), go to your dashboard in MyIBM (https://myibm.ibm.com/dashboard) and download (and install) the latest release (29.0.2.0).
- If you are on Statistics 28.0.1.1, please see the interim fix in the above Blog and Flash messages.

I have a subscription for SPSS Statistics and Custom Tables for MacOS (13.5.2) and use SPSS 28.0.1.1, but am getting an error message saying I don't have a license. Everything worked fine as of Saturday. I've restarted, I've tried to switch license and relaunch to no avail. Every attempt to access SPSS support through chat or phone has put me in a loop of error messages as well (including trying to reach someone through the current subscription/support channels).
Thanks in advance!
