Hi All.  We are migrating data from 3rd Party Storage to a FlashSystem 7000 Family Storage. We already know that 90 days from the date of the installation, it allows to migrated stuff from external storage to FlashSystem. After that I guess, either temporary license needs to be procured or if client want to keep the setup, then they need to buy the requisite license.  Now, our 90 days have passed and still migration is not yet completed. And, we have started getting the alerts: Virtualization License Limit Exceeded. However, the Storage still letting us do the migrations from external 3rd Party Storage fine. No issues there. Now, we found a setting also, where we changed SCU from existing value=1 to 5, and now even the error alert has gone.  So, want to understand, how come one can put any higher value there and it works with no issues.  It does specifically say that - Ensure that the limit configured matches with the limit that is specified by your license. So, how to know what our specified entitlement is here. And, how come it allows to put any higher value there and get away with it. Are, there any future issues here, which we don't see as of now.   Thanks.

It's paper license on FS7000.So you set it on license page you get the license for the virtualization now. It doesn't have any impact to your existing migrating data. I remembered the FS7200 has all features inclusive except for encryption.
