We are running a network license, I think it is called a concurrent license. The licence allows at most 8 users at the same time, which in our organization has worked sufficiently well. However, every now and then there have been problems when users try to start SPSS. A message pops up saying that there is no valid license, which of course is wrong. It could be the case that there are 8 users running already, but that should generate another message in the output window. And it seems as if the start process halts even when the maximum number of users is not reached, even if we are not entirely certain.

One of our technicians suggested that it might  be an issue with the license server keeping track of the users, possibly that the user list is not updated frequently enough. We are running WinAdm ver 9.1.0.0104 on a Windows server, standard version 10.0.14393 Build 1493.   

Any suggestions or explanations would be welcome.
