    The steps I am following are:

    Running the mksecldap command - no errors
    changing authtype in ldap.cfg
    restarting secldapclntd
    running chuser to LDAP for the user(s)

    same steps on ML02 = reboot
    same steps on ML03 = works fine

    Anyone know if there is a bug fixed in 03 related to this or if there is another process I can manually restart on the 02 systems without having to completely reboot?
