    Hi All,

    when installing Jupyter Notebook on Ubuntu 18.0.4 LTS on a AZURE VM I get this error:

    Step 6/11 : COPY build-tmp/hub /srv
    ---> b0e062e04a24
    Step 7/11 : COPY build-tmp/certs /tmp/certificates
    failed to export image: failed to create image: failed to get layer sha256:44b1c72bb62c177d5f33a7e3fad95bb9d55f9c86a3632795ab8e836ca98cab9e: layer does not exist

    any hints?

    Hi Martin,

    Did you solved this issue ?

    I had the same with CentOS and solved it by uninstalling Cognos Jupyter, reboot my CentOs and did a yum update 4 getting the latest Linux packages.
    Then my install Cognos Jupyter and installing the Jupyter scripts went without any error.

    Hi Martin,

    the problem you're facing is related to a defect with Docker itself and affects several of its versions.
    Upgrading Docker on your Ubuntu machine may fix the problem.

    Alternatively, a workaround to the Docker defect was added in version 11.1.5 of Jupyter Notebooks for Cognos Analytics.
    I'm not sure which version you're on, but an upgrade should do the trick.

    There's also a manual fix you can apply to previous versions of Cognos Jupyter.
    It requires making modifications to the Dockerfiles that are included in the installation directory, so it's a little involved.
    Let me know if you'd like to go down that route and I'll be happy to share the steps.
