Hi Ted,
You can use MxLoader to load the Job Plans for small changes . But only job plans in Draft or PNDREV status can be modified. Active job plans cannot be modified. If you attempt to modify an active job plan through the MIF you will receive the following error:
"BMXAA0024E - The action ADD is not allowed on object JOBTASK. Verify the business rules for the object and define the appropriate action for the object."
To update an active job plan, you must first revise the job plan. You can either revise the job plan in the Maximo application or by using MxLoader . To revise an active job plan using MxLoader , increment the PLUSCREVNUM field by one and set the job plan status to PNDREV. Next, upload the changes using the new revision number, then activate the new job plan revision. Maximo will set the status of the new Job Plan revision to ACTIVE and set the status of the previous revision to REVISED.

Good Morning All,
I would like to find out who in the group is using Job Plan Revision control. We are using 7.6.0.6. and investigating switching Revision Control. (it was kept off during a transition from 7.5. to enable any bulk changes). A few questions:
a) How do you load new draft job plans - do you have a specific loader ( i.e. MXL)?
b) How do you amend the job plan content - via the UI? This would appear to work for small changes, however where you have large content this could be very onerous, as well as increasing the human error factor!
c) Are there any others issues that you have discovered?
Thanks for your time
Best Regards
