That message is thrown when a client tries to write a message that has been marked read only. Is your JMS client simply reading the message or is it attempting to send one as well?

Hi
Hari and Mark, I am also in the process of writing a custom JMS Client where I intend to subscribe to the Broker JMS Provider. I have read thru the documentation and found ways of writing them. My question is there a EASY way of converting the message received into a Java Object so I can further use it in custom Java applications.
Thanks Sid
