JavaTaminoAPI vs TaminoAPI4J

are these two the same ?
    JavaTaminoAPI & TaminoAPI4J

JavaTaminoAPI comes with X-Application while TaminoAPI4J ships with Tamino.

Is it correct to assume that the JavaTaminoAPI that is distributed with X-Application is a superset or even a newer version of TaminoAPI4J that ships with Tamino 4.1?

    –joey

    X-Application Version: 4.1.1
    Tamino Version : 4.1.1
    Platform : Win2k
    WebContainer : Tomcat 4.1.24
    JDK Version : 1.4.1

    Hello,

Yes that’s right. X-Application uses internally the package JavaTaminoAPI.jar. Since X-Application came later than the Tamino Server version, the API version is a newer one or at least the same as delivered with Tamino Server.

It is also possible to download a newer Java Tamino API from the community and to exchange the package within your X-Application installation / application, if a new version is posted. However, currently I don’t see any need to do this.

    Bye,
    Christian.
