I just installed Mobile DB 4.1.3 and compiled the Java examples which came with the installation. When starting the example runner class (BdXMLExamples) all of the examples give me the following error message:

Starting example 1 *********************
Error: This BDXML implementation is not compatible with the BDXML expected by your application.

Starting example 2 *********************
Opening the database …
Error: This BDXML implementation is not compatible with the BDXML expected by your application.

etc. etc.

I added the .jar files from the installation to my class path and also copied over the JNI .dll’s to my project compilation directory.

I’m using NetBeans 3.4 for application development.

Any ideas?

Hi,

i experienced this problem when other (older) versions of the Birdstep DLLs were around on my system (in my case it was in the Tamino Mobile Studio). So search your system for other versions of the DLLs and remove them (if they are not needed by other applications).
