🚀 Java Engineer (Sterling OMS / SIP) – 6-Month Contract | £650/day | Outside IR35 | Hybrid (Paddington 2–3 days/week)

I'm looking for a hands-on Java Engineer with strong experience in IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS)and Sterling Intelligent Promising (SIP) to join an AI-enabled consultancy driving intelligent fulfilment and sourcing optimisation across enterprise retail.

You'll be working on projects that combine smart automation, integration, and scalable fulfilment logic - blending backend engineering with product extension work to help clients achieve real-time, data-driven order management.

🔧 What you'll do:

• Extend and customise IBM Sterling OMS and SIP with Java.

• Build and integrate intelligent fulfilment and sourcing logic.

• Work closely with configuration and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.

• Support CI/CD (Jenkins → GitHub Actions) and automated test frameworks.

💡 You'll bring:

• Deep understanding of Sterling OMS and SIP.

• Strong Java engineering skills (Core & Enterprise).

• Experience with APIs, XML, JSON, SQL, and test automation.

• Collaborative mindset and a focus on quality, performance, and reliability.

💰 Day rate: Up to £650 (Outside IR35)
📍 Hybrid: Paddington, 2–3 days a week
