Hi all,

for the past few months there have been internal discussions on the ATUM v4 definitions, and in particular the IT Tower definitions for applications. We have differentiated these in our TBM implementation as being either business or technical with a simple(?) rule to help categorise applications (and services!) - if it has a direct line of sight with the business, then it is business.

The current TBM framework however does not have a suitable ITRT for technical applications. Below is what sits under the Application tower:

Technical apps can run on-prem and in cloud, and none of the descriptions really fit or make sense here.

Discussion was to extend the towers and add our own. That has led to more discussion or we are yet to come to a consensus here.

Has anyone else singled out Technical Applications and created an ITRT for it. What approach/thinking did you take?
