Hi group, I am testing Governance (ex IGI), but my impression is that the ISVG IM (ex ISIM) is better for provsioning and is most customizable(for example in the use of extensions and workflow).

I am working in a new implementation and we are finishing the first stage of IM and we are planning to use Governance only for certification campaing and Risk(segregation of dutties) for second stage of implementation.

I would like to know your opinions and experiences in this regard. If you use only Governace or use a combination between IM and Governace.

My recommendation is to use ISVG IM. In the container version (not yet in SW/VA) recertification for groups/accounts is already available and for persons(roles) it is coming soon (I do not know the exact roadmap - but it is "round the corner" AFAIK).

More Governance functionality will follow into IM - some time in the glorious bright future IM will have both the current capabilities as well as all the governance features.

And you are right - from an extensibility PoV IM is much more flexible - but also here the product will improve a lot - REST APIs especially. Be aware though that the container version will receive new features first as this version is already on WAS Liberty - SW and VA will probably be migrated in the future as WAS ND is going out of support.
