You can also try DPOD (DataPower Operations Dashboard) and let it do the upgrade for you. It will perform the upgrade according to best practices, so will restart the gateway before applying the firmware upgrade and will upload the firmware to the gateway in the way that is mentioned earlier in this thread.
The Developer Edition is free for use and you can download it from Fix Central: https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/selectFixes?parent=ibm~WebSphere&product=ibm/WebSphere/WebSphere+DataPower+SOA+Appliances&release=All&platform=All
A quick overview video (if you are not already familiar with DPOD) is available here: https://ibm.biz/dpod-docs

Hi,
I have checked the memory and i could see there is more than 5gb of space left.
Even I have tried what herman has said by stopping all tghe domain and rebooting then trying to upload the image.
Yet I need to try what Perice shah has suggested. I need to check how to use ftp or any other copying mechanism to do so.
Thanks
Avinash

Two things to check beyond what Hermann cited.
- What is the memory set for this DP for VMware. I think you need a minimum of 5 GB based on the size of the image.
- As I have more the 5 GB on my instance, my problem is generally an error "copy" error that I resolve by doing "shutdown reboot 1".
- As Pierce states, use the CLI to copy the image to the image: directory (which is memory)
Based on what you're experiencing, your lacking sufficient menory or file system space for the image. Note that when you install the image, you need I believe 3x the memory as the file size.

HI Hermann,
Firstly thank you for quick advice but it did not help me as i back to square.
I did try above suggestion but no luck the device did not accept the latest image to load.
As in wheni was trying to upload the latest version firmware it failed to upload.
Thanks,
Avinash

Hi Everyone,
I was able to download the fix pack idg10507.lts.oradco.scrypt4 for our Vm ware based DataPower appliance but when i was trying to upload the image file i am getting 500 internal server error.
When i Check the system logs for appropriate error message i could see below errors not sure how to rectify the same.
