    just found the solution by myself.

    I have installed the "iscsi software target device driver" from the expansion pack (January 2008) and discovered
    that it is possible to define a iscsi target via smitty. (Devices -> iscsi -> iscsi Targets)

    I have to test it out because there is no IBM Documentation in detail.

    Now i will give those old good SSA Disks another try with iscsi. :-)
