Is there yet a version of SPSS 27 ready for MacBooks of the newest generation WITH M1 chip?

  • 1.  Is there yet a version of SPSS 27 ready for MacBooks of the newest generation WITH M1 chip?

    Posted Tue March 30, 2021 02:54 PM

After 1 hour in conference with Apple Service the Problem seems to be:

If you open the App information board, it shows: "(Intel)" and according to Apple it should / needs to be "(Universal)", only then it will run Rosetta and thererefore start SPSS properly running under the M1 chip (OS Big Sur 11.2.3).

As long as I only could get SPSS 27.0.1 for Macs (before 2020, with the Intel Chip) the app won't run.

Please... if someone can help me or tell me IF there is such an Update by IBM. Would save my mental conditions a lot.

    Best regards. Timo

Please take a look at this link..

I would suggest doing a clean uninstall and then reinstall SPSS 27.0.1 again to see if this helps. A clean uninstall is completely removing any essence of Statistics from the MAC.
