  • 1.  Is mqlight / nodejs-mqlight client production-level client?

    Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is the mqlight client for NodeJS that's found here (https://github.com/mqlight/nodejs-mqlight) considered as production-ready code, or is this more for use as a POC?  Looks like the last change occurred April, 2019.  The text describes it as "the high-level API by which you can interact with the MQ Light runtime".  I don't believe this particular Cloud runtime is for production use, but I assume the client will work with any suitably-configured MQ server.

    Hi Jim,

    The MQ Light clients were deprecated along with the cloud run-time that they support so we wouldn't recommend you use them for new projects. We are in the process of marking them deprecated on GitHub too so as to make this clearer.

    There are a number of other options for using MQ with Node.js. Take a look at https://developer.ibm.com/components/ibm-mq/articles/mq-downloads/#languages-apis-and-protocols.
