Is HIPER APAR PJ46700 addressing a new exposure or does it correct a potential problem which has existed for a considerable amount of time.

The DXC Sabre TPF Systems are currently running at the PUT20 level. We are now in the process of updating our Production TPF Systems to PUT21 level. Our TPF systems use 3215 console support and use the TOS Console platform on OSA ICC card connections. It does not sound like there are prerequisites for PJ46700. Also noticed PJ46699 on PUT22 however it does not appear PJ46699 is a prerequisite for PJ46700. In any event our TPF Systems do not use the HMC as a TPF Console device.

So it sounds like PJ46700 addresses a 'Short Busy' condition which sounds like a relatively new condition on OSA ICC. Are there recent TOS Platform updates which may have introduced the 'Short Busy' condition/status?

    Thank you,

    Steve Harkey

Steve - please open this query through a formal case in the IBM Support Portal (www.ibm.com/mysupport). That will ensure you can talk directly with an SME to answer your questions. Thank you, Kevin Jones (IBM TPF Client Support)
