Hi Team,

We have installed the 10.15 wM version and after the successful installation 10.15 IS server is not coming up as localhost:5555. For now, installation is done using an embedded database.

Can anyone help or suggest why 10.15 IS not coming up?

Notes:

• IS Service setup - Automatically (Running Status)
• This is on the client instance not on the trial version

Server Logs: Below are the final logs in the server.log file, As per the logs everything is loaded like Packages and all the startup services restarted as well.

Is this a traditional install using the SAG installer, or a containerized install?
Can you type the following command and give us the output?
curl -v localhost:5555

The IS is up and running, since the server log entry in your screenshot says “Initialization completed in 32 seconds” and the port is initialized as well.

If you cannot access the IS page, then the must open the port on the firewall.

I checked the PORT and firewall, so PORT is enabled on the server and all the firewall restrictions are turned off.

I can access the 10.15 IS using DNS/Server OR IP address but not using localhost:5555.

Try ‘netstat -aon | findstr :5555’ to confirm the IS process is listening to connections on port 5555.

If you’re using a VPN or a HTTP proxy, then it could impact localhost communications.
Try with ‘curl --noproxy “*” http://localhost:5555’ (which bypasses all proxies) and see what you get.

You can also try making a call with your computer name in the url instead of localhost, you never know…

If all this isn’t working, can you access other local servers via localhost? Something like a local database, a nginx webserver, maybe even a local UM realm.

Tried both commands and got the below info:

Yes, using the computer name I can access the IS.

If you can access with your computer name, then the issue could be in your host file, probably located here: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Check that you have an entry 127.0.0.1 localhost

Anyway, glad to know you can access with the computer name, it means you’re not blocked.

Remove the “#” against 127.0.0.1 and save it - it’s commented out at the moment and doesn’t apply at runtime.

“netstat” shows that the port is listening, which is good.

However, “Connection refused” is making me question your Inbound Rule on the firewall again, but you did say that you can access it via the DNS. Post a screenshot of the rule where you’ve allowed the port.

Give these a try -

1. An IS reboot is not required, but it’s worth a shot
2. Try the curl command again but add another parameter “–ipv4”

How are you connecting to this IS via Linux?
Is the IS installed on your own laptop/PC, or is it on a server that you connect to via SSH?

Hi,

from the first netstat screenshot, the port 5555 is only listening on the dedicated ip adress mentioned.
It is not listening on ALL ip adresses configured/available on the host, which would include 127.0.0.1/localhost then.

Can you check the instances/default/config/ports.cnf and/or the instances/default/WmRoot/config/listeners.cnf, if the port is directly bound to the fixed ip adress?
